I only tried out the old Fork because the Pioneer House was closed. I just had my first visit there, it was for breakfast, and I guess I can say it was "okay". It wasn't great by any stretch of the imagination, it didn't blow my hair back, and when I left I didn't have that innate feeling that I can't wait to get back. In fact, if I never go there again, I don't think I'll be missing anything. The food was just "okay". They don't have shredded hash browns, you have to ask for a straw for your drink because I guess if they give you one they must save them up so they can dump them into the ocean or something?? They are not attentive to refills and you have to flag them down and ask every time. Their drinking glasses are actually Mason jars which I can only assume is their failed attempt to try and put put out a hipster vibe that just doesn't work. The name itself is right next to Greasy Spoon. The crowd this place attracts seem to be burnt out old hippies and old cougars with me being the youngest in there by at least 30 years. The server we had wore his hair in a man bun and he had a shirt on that was 2 sizes too small. All in all it was the exact disappointment I had always expected it to be. If you ride the bus daily, buy Western Family brand at the store, and have no dental plan, this steerage place may be exactly what you've been looking for in a restaurant! Total Steerage!!
Very quaint place. Was super nice and good food. Stopped in while driving home and received fast service and good food. A little confusing to find cause it's connected to the hotel. Highly recommend, would definitely go there again!
Crazy good wings. A ton of flavors to choose from. The rest of the menu is great. They also have a burger challenge if that's your cup of tea.
We were here on Pasta Night Thursday - $12. They make their own noodles which is great! Red or white sauces alongside garlic bread all made in house. I opted for the daily special which was a pasta but not in the $12 deal. It was a very rich cream sauce with pesto and a seared duck breast on top. I loved the cranberries in the sauce and the Fettuccini noodles were lovely. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It wasn't a long wait for our food. There's ample parking. The decor is nice. Others at the table enjoyed burgers and sandwiches.
Was average at best. My plate an cutlery looked and felt greasy. The waitress did not have much of a clue and dressed like she was working for tips. We waited almost an hour for burgers and fries..do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.
