Nice store but did not give me the sale price on apple pie. First time at this store. Did not look at the bill till i got home. Will not go back
First Impression was wrong. I love this store. Everyone is friendly and their prices are very competitive. Good selection. No banana pudding but their baked treats are always fresh and delicious..
I was just in the duncan location after doing some errands downtown i bought some items from the dollarstore and stopped by the liquor store before so my backpack wich i use for groceries was quite full. i caught the bus up to there and went by my garden plot at the church and dug up some potatoes and also put them in my bag. i got a messege from my buddy saying he was at 49th so i said id meet him there upon arriving there, he was not there so i did a quick one through the store with my bag on to see if there was anything good on sale and if so i was going to comeback later as i live in the neighbourhood and am a regular customer spending hundreds of dollars there each month and have for over a decade, i did not touch anything in your store just walked through than out also as the store was full. when i was almost across the street when a young kid in uniform came out and hollered for me to come back and proceeded to say that the girl thought i stole i said that was bs that i am a regular and have been for years but he wanted to see in my bag to which i complied , this was in front of many people out front of store and he went through my bag pulling out all my items i bought at the dollarstore. this was all unprofessional and very alienating. as i was leaving everyone was staring at me. I was very embarresed. I have never had a experience like tgis before in the over a decade that i have been coming here. i will no longer be shopping at your store anymore. you have lost me as a dedicated patron. i even said check your cameras or learn to go about this in a more professional manner.i am a hard working 26 year old man who pays for his groceries like every other hard working individual. and im quite sure i make more than the teenagers you hire i dont deserve to be alienated and publicly embarrased by a young kid. i will not be returning.
I love the meat dept. Great neighborhood grocery store.
Would come into the store and pick up groceries on my way home from work but the store has an discriminate policy on bringing bags into the store (I keep my work apparel in a tote bag I bought from another grocery chain) I've tried getting chummy with the staff but apparently bringing a bag into the store is less important than me being a customer, their choice not mine. Most times it's been okay if I only went to the front counter to purchase lotto but I would have to leave my bag at the front of the store to get anything else. My most recent experience I had to go around the front counter to get in the line, where I noticed many other people wearing purses, other tote bags. Watching the cashier at the till I had noticed the cashier looking up and down the first two aisles looking for me. (I can only assume) before making eye contact me and scoffing. That'd make anyone feel great.Unfortunate this store has discriminatory policies and staff I don't see them able to grasp being the happy community grocery store. Take some pride, talk to the people you're discriminating against. Don't bark at them to leave their personal items at the front of the store.
